After logging and doing general photography of the figures, each one is washed using Turtle brand car wash soap without wax.
Areas to be touched up or that need special care are marked with tape.
After circling the figures a number of times, the tape markings are better to keep track of trouble spots than any other system. They will remain until all the touch-up is completed.
This picture also shows the primer coat on the hoof after filler has been applied and sanded to build up the wear area on the hoof. (See arrow)
